One of my favourite things about making personalised photo magnets isn’t just creating them for other people – it’s the joy of having our own family memories dotted all over our fridge at home.
Each day, usually while making breakfast or grabbing a quick cup of tea, I catch little glimpses of our life. Family holidays, Christmas mornings, messy beach days, and snapshots of the kids when they were smaller. They’re tiny moments, but they bring such a rush of happiness and nostalgia that never seems to wear off.
Some of our magnets are from our previous house – the one where our little babies grew into little kids. Looking at those photos now feels like opening a little time capsule. There are smiles missing a few teeth, cuddles on the sofa, and that sense of busy, beautiful chaos that comes with family life.
Now, mixed in among them, are new memories from our current home – new routines, new traditions, and new chapters starting to unfold.
Of course, there are those photos that mean a little bit more. Our lovely family pet Ellie, who we lost earlier this year, still has her place in our family and on the fridge. Seeing her face every day is comforting – a gentle reminder of all the joy she brought to our family. Alongside her are plenty of newer memories too, as Freddie and Maggie have made themselves very much at home and into our hearts (and camera roll!).
We have snapshots from our big adventures, like our recent holiday to Florida – a once in a lifetime experience we get to relive every day. Others are much simpler: a quick trip to the beach, a forest walk, a day out at the play park, or a last-minute family get-together, but often end up being just as special.
That’s what I love most about turning photos into personalised magnets. They’re not hidden away on a phone or forgotten on a hard drive, they’re right there. Part of daily life. Little reminders of love, laughter, and shared memories. They make thoughtful gifts at Christmas, perfect holiday keepsakes, and meaningful ways to celebrate family, joy, and happiness all year round.
For me, personalised photo magnets are more than just photos on a fridge. They’re memories made visible – and enjoyed every single day.
